Nursery Information

Our purpose built Chingford nursery is located on the main Chingford Hatch roundabout at the bottom of Chingford Lane, close to both Woodford Green and South Woodford. The nursery is open all year round from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Christmas week and bank holidays), and provides childcare and education for babies and young children from the age of three months to five years. Our fees include a nursery backpack and all meals and extra curricular activities.

We understand that choosing a nursery for your child is one of the most difficult decisions that you will have to make. It is therefore important that you visit different nurseries in the area to find the one that’s right for you. If you would like to arrange a visit or a trial session, then please contact us by telephone or e-mail, or pop into the nursery. You are welcome at any time.

Young children’s learning is often driven by their interests. Our curriculum planning is flexible to ensure we use their interests to encourage and motivate them to learn.

It’s vital for children to spend time outdoors every day, to get lots of fresh air, run around, climb, jump, play and develop a lifelong love of exercise. Our gardens are equipped with fun and interesting resources for the children to enjoy.

We arrange resources to encourage the children to play with increasing confidence on their own and with others. They are able to do this knowing that their key person is there to support them.

Babies, toddlers and young children thrive when they are loved and well cared for. Children are powerful learners and every child can make amazing progress in their learning, with the right help.

We use mathematical language to help children compare quantities, such as ‘more than’ and ‘fewer than’ and phrases such as ‘the green cube is above the blue cube’ and ‘the brown cube is at the top’ to help them understand position, patterning and sequence.

Staff carefully organise enabling environments for high quality play. Sometimes, they make time and space available for the children to invent their own play. Sometimes, they join in to sensitively support and extend the children’s learning.
