Nursery Information

Our Aylesbury nursery is set in a beautiful location within Watermead in Aylesbury. The nursery is open all year round from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Christmas week and bank holidays), and provides childcare and education for babies and young children from the age of three months to five years.

Our fees include a nursery backpack and all meals and extra curricular activities.

We understand that choosing a nursery for your child is one of the most difficult decisions that you will have to make. It is therefore important that you visit different nurseries in the area to find the one that’s right for you. If you would like to arrange a visit or a trial session, then please contact us by telephone or e-mail, or pop into the nursery. You are welcome at any time.

Language development is central to self-regulation and executive function. Children use language to guide their actions and plans. Pretend play gives many opportunities for children to focus their thinking, enabling them to develop their persistence and thought processes.

Children are powerful learners. Effective pedagogy is a mix of different approaches. Children learn through play, by observing one another and through guided learning and direct teaching.

It’s vital for children to spend time outdoors every day, to get lots of fresh air, run around, climb, jump, play and develop a lifelong love of exercise. Our gardens are equipped with fun and interesting resources for the children to enjoy.

The curriculum is a top level plan of everything we want the children to learn. The curriculum needs to be ambitious to help the children build their learning.

Young children’s learning is often driven by their interests. Our curriculum planning is flexible to ensure we use their interests to encourage and motivate them to learn.

We encourage the children to develop their phonological awareness and a love of books. Our aim is to help children understand the meaning of ‘print’ and its many different purposes, whilst expanding their vocabulary and understanding.
