Kids Inc Day Nursery Practitioner Emma Chapman is an NMT Finalist

We are delighted to announce that Emma Chapman, a Kids Inc Day Nursery Practitioner at our South Woodford nursery is a finalist for the NMT Nursery Childcare/Practitioner Award 2021.

Emma has worked for Kids Inc Nurseries since 1996 and has always had the strongest bonds with her key children and their families. During her time with us, Emma has worked both in rooms and as a nursery manager, but she found her true passion is working directly with the children to nurture, educate, and inspire them.

One parent describes Emma as:

‘The most caring and dedicated nursery nurse. My son has excelled since she became his key worker in October last year. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has cared for our son with kindness and fairness. She is a real credit to the team at Kids Inc South Woodford and is a true hero in this family home!’

Another parent says:

‘Emma has introduced our daughter to phonics, which has helped her speech development tremendously. She has given us lots of suggestions and has printed out several cards/aids for us to use at home.’

Kids Inc Nurseries entered Emma for the NMT award to recognise her hard work and commitment to the company. All of the children in Emma’s care really look forward to coming to nursery and often ask their parents to share things at home with Emma via Tapestry.

Charlotte Cornish, South Woodford Nursery Manager says:

‘The advice and love she gives to the team lift their spirits and she always remembers personal details. She teaches the team how to be better practitioners, she calmly explains how/why to do things a certain way and also praises them when they do something amazing.’

Upon hearing about her achievement, Emma said:

‘I am totally overwhelmed and, for the first time ever, speechless! I am very grateful for the acknowledgement for something that I am so passionate about.’
