Kids Inc Day Nursery Clarence Avenue Achieves ‘Good’ Ofsted Rating

Kids Inc Nurseries are delighted to announce that Kids Inc Day Nursery Clarence Avenue in Gants Hill, Ilford has been awarded a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in its inspection. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the dedicated team at the nursery and the exceptional care and education they provide to the children in their care.

The Ofsted inspector praised various aspects of the nursery, stating:

‘Children in this setting are safe and secure. Staff organise children’s days around familiar routines, helping them understand and engage effectively. The strong key-person system ensures continuity of care, fostering a positive impact on all children’s health and well-being.’

At Kids Inc Clarence Avenue, there is a strong focus on learning early mathematical concepts, such as counting, using children’s home languages in the nursery and strengthening children’s next steps in learning. Emphasis on communication skills and emotional development was also highlighted in the inspector’s report:

‘Staff are patient and provide gentle reminders to help children respect and listen to each other. Most children have access to activities that align with their interests, positively impacting their behaviour and engagement in learning.’

The nursery manager, Toni, was recognised for her effective leadership and management of the nursery:

‘The manager understands the value of staff supervision sessions and staff meetings, thereby supporting good outcomes for children. Parents are complimentary about the care that their children receive, with parents who are new to the setting saying that they feel comfortable and reassured at how quickly their children settle. This has a positive impact on children’s development.’
