Nursery Information

Our purpose built East Sheen nursery is located on Upper Richmond Road West, in the heart of the town centre. The nursery is open all year round from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Christmas week and bank holidays), and provides childcare and education for babies and young children from the age of three months to five years.

Our fees include a nursery backpack and all meals and extra curricular activities.

We understand that choosing a nursery for your child is one of the most difficult decisions that you will have to make. It is therefore important that you visit different nurseries in the area to find the one that’s right for you. If you would like to arrange a visit or a trial session, then please contact us by telephone or e-mail, or pop into the nursery. You are welcome at any time.

It’s vital for children to spend time outdoors every day, to get lots of fresh air, run around, climb, jump, play and develop a lifelong love of exercise. Our gardens are equipped with fun and interesting resources for the children to enjoy.

Children gain a sense of belonging very quickly after joining nursery. The proudly bring their Kids Inc backpacks in every day, confidently hanging them on their pegs before joining their friends for another day of learning, adventure and fun.

Language development is central to self-regulation and executive function. Children use language to guide their actions and plans. Pretend play gives many opportunities for children to focus their thinking, enabling them to develop their persistence and thought processes.

Staff carefully organise enabling environments for high quality play. Sometimes, they make time and space available for the children to invent their own play. Sometimes, they join in to sensitively support and extend the children’s learning.

We arrange resources to encourage the children to play with increasing confidence on their own and with others. They are able to do this knowing that their key person is there to support them.

We encourage the children to select and use activities and resources, with help when needed. This enables them to achieve a goal they have chosen or one which is suggested to them.
