Grand Opening of New Knaphill Nursery! – Kids Inc Nurseries are delighted to announce that their Knaphill nursery is now officially open! The grand opening was celebrated with a lively launch event on Saturday 23 March 2025. Families from Knaphill and the surrounding areas were invited to join in the festivities, making it a truly special day for the local community.

The highlight of the day was the presence of acclaimed children’s author, Camilla Reid, who attended as guest of honour. Known for her much-loved books that have inspired countless young readers, Camilla delivered a moving and inspiring speech on the value of reading during the early years. She spoke passionately about how stories help children build imagination, develop empathy, and spark a lifelong love of learning. Following her speech, Camilla officially opened the nursery with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for Kids Inc in Knaphill.

To the delight of children and parents alike, Camilla also hosted a special story time session, where she read from some of her popular works. The children were captivated by her warm storytelling style, and parents commented on how uplifting it was to see their little ones so engaged. To make the day even more memorable, Camilla generously gifted signed copies of her books to the children, providing them with a personal keepsake to treasure and enjoy at home.

Beyond the literary magic, the grand opening was filled with a variety of fun activities designed to create a festival-like atmosphere. The nursery garden came alive with the sounds of laughter during a lively Easter Egg Hunt, where children searched excitedly for hidden treats. The Easter Bunny even made a surprise appearance, much to the joy of the little ones. With hugs, high-fives, and photo opportunities, the Easter Bunny helped spread joy and added an extra touch of sparkle to the day.

Creative and sensory play were also central to the celebrations. Children had the chance to decorate biscuits with colourful icing and sprinkles, take part in imaginative face painting, and express themselves through hands-on activities. Meanwhile, at the petting zoo, families were introduced to a selection of furry and feathered friends, including rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens. For many children, it was their first time holding or feeding these gentle animals, and the excitement on their faces was unforgettable.

The involvement of the local community made the event even more special. Local businesses set up vibrant stalls that brought additional colour and variety to the day. Families enjoyed browsing an array of offerings, from freshly baked cupcakes to personalised items and fidget toys. From gourmet burgers and hot dogs freshly prepared by Chop & Chip, to indulgent desserts and bubble tea courtesy of Cocoa Island, there was something to satisfy every appetite. Families and children gathered to enjoy these treats together, creating a relaxed and sociable atmosphere.

The day concluded with many happy faces, laughter, and heartfelt conversations as families explored the nursery facilities for the first time.
