NURSERY EVENTS CALENDAR 2022
National Storytelling Week – Monday 24 to Friday 28 January
We would like to welcome any parents to the setting to come and read stories to the children (Covid permitting).
Chinese New Year – Tuesday 1 February
Or should we say Kung Hei Fat Choi! As well as a delicious Chinese feast, the children will be trying dragon dancing and making lanterns. We will also be joining in with the tradition of sending red letters to one another.
Pancake Day – Tuesday 1 March
Our lovely cook Keron will be making pancakes for the children to enjoy at breakfast time. What will you have on yours? We will have lots of yummy treats to choose from.
St Patricks Day- Thursday 17 March
To celebrate St Patricks Day, we would like to invite your little ones to wear green. We will be making shamrocks and good luck charms with clay and various collage materials.
Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Friday 25 March
We would like to invite all of our lovely mummies to join us for afternoon tea with the children. As well as delicious home-made scones with cream and jam, the children are sure to have a few surprises. Grannies or aunties are also welcome.
Spring Fete – 11.00am to 1.00pm, Saturday 9 April
Make your most fabulous Easter bonnets at home and bring them along to our bonnet parade and Easter egg hunt.
Autism awareness day- Friday 1 April
Today we will be wearing blue to support autism awareness day.
St Georges Day – Friday 22 April
We will be celebrating St Georges Day and making flags and dragons!
Teddy Bears Picnic – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Tuesday 10 May
Bring your own teddies along to nursery for a very special picnic!
Father’s Day Breakfast – 8.00am to 9.00am, Monday 20 June
All our daddies and grandads are welcome to join the children for a special celebratory breakfast.
Summer Walk and Picnic – 10.00am to 12.00pm, Saturday 2 July
Join all the team for a fun walk and yummy picnic!
Friendship Day – Friday 29 July
Join us in celebrating World Friendship Day, when we will be taking part in a range of activities to show our love and care for one another.
Roald Dahl Day – Tuesday 13 September
Join us in celebrating Roald Dahl Day, when we will be sharing a range of stories and doing lots of creative activities.
Diwali – Tuesday 25 October
We will be celebrating the Festival of Light with lots of artistic creative activities, including making Diwali cards for our families and friends.
Ugly Bugs Ball – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Monday 31 October
Join us for our annual Ugly Bugs Ball with lots of spooky games and activities.
Fireworks Night – Monday 5 November
We will be getting very creative, making fireworks pictures and collages.
Week Commencing 12 December Onwards
We will be holding lots of Christmas activities for all of the children in the nursery, including parties, carol concerts, mince pie evenings, festive lunches and much more!
