National read a book day – Friday 6 September
It is national read a book day so bring in your little ones favourite story for their carers to have a special story time with.
Open day – 10.00am to 1.00pm, Saturday 7 September
Come along and join us for some fun activities and yummy food. You are welcome to bring along friends and family to join us.
National teddy bear day – Monday 9 September
We will be having a teddy bears picnic so all children and staff are encouraged to bring in a teddy for this special yummy tea time!
Harvest Festival Week – Monday 16 September to Friday 20 September
To celebrate the start of harvest, the children will be learning all about what harvest is. We will be collecting donations for a harvest hamper to give to our local food bank. If you are able, please help us to help others and make a donation of tinned, jar or packet food.
Jeans for Genes Day – Friday 20 September
Everyone is invited to wear their jeans or denim for the day. Donations are welcomed for the charity. All of the money raised will go to Genetic Disorders UK which supports individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
National grandparents day – 2.30pm to 4.00pm, Wednesday 2 October
We will be holding a special afternoon tea for all nursery grandparents. We invite you to come along and join your grandchild for some yummy treats.
Autumn open day – 10.00am to 1.00pm, Saturday 12 October
Join us for a day of autumn themed activities. We also welcome friends and family along to join in the fun.
Diwali – Friday 25 October
To celebrate the Festival of Light we are asking everyone to dress up in their brightest outfit. The children will be making salt dough Diva lamps
Ugly bugs ball – 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Wednesday 30 October
In true Kids Inc tradition, we will be holding our annual ugly bugs ball. All children are invited to dress up as their favourite spooky character. We will be holding a competition for the best dressed child in each department, so time to get creative!
Nursery photographers – Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November
The photographer is in nursery today, so don’t forget to wear your best smile. You are welcome to bring in an outfit for us to change your child into before having their photograph taken. If your little one does not attend on this day, please speak to a member of the management team and book in a slot to pop in and have their pictures taken.
Remembrance Day – Monday 11 November
To remember the heroes of the wars gone by, the children will be making poppies to take home with them.
Messy play morning – 9.30am to 10.30am, Tuesday 19 November
We are inviting all parents to come and join us for a morning of messy play, fun and games. There will be cornflour, gloop, and painting along with lots of other messy activities. Come roll up your sleeves and join in the fun with us!
Breakfast morning – Wednesday 4 December
Today we will be having a yummy breakfast morning for all the parents and carers to grab a tasty treat on their way to work!
Christmas jumper day for Save the Children – Friday 13 December
We are once again supporting Save the Children’s wear your Christmas jumper day. There will be a donation box in the reception area if you would like to make a donation to this worthy cause.
Butterflies Christmas Play – 2.30pm to 3.00pm, Tuesday 17 December
Parents of Butterflies children come and join us to watch their Christmas play.
Busy Bees Christmas Play – 2.30pm to 3.00pm, Wednesday 18 December
Parents of Busy Bees children come and join us to watch their Christmas play.
Christmas fete and Father Christmas visit – 4.00pm to 6.00pm, Thursday 19 December
We are looking forward to holding a Christmas fete with lots of stalls where parents and family members can buy some early Christmas presents!
There will also be having a very special guest popping in to see everyone!
Family Christmas party – 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Friday 20 December
All parents and siblings are welcome to come and join us for our family Christmas party. There will be dancing and games for everyone to enjoy. We will be having a buffet style tea with mince pies of course!
Christmas dinner – Monday 23 December
The children and staff will be enjoy a yummy Christmas dinner today.
Christmas Eve – Tuesday 24 December
All children and staff are again invited to wear their Christmas jumpers to complete the festive celebrations before the holidays begin.
