SPRING TERM 2019

Guru Gobind Singh’s Birthday – Friday 11 January
Celebrating this Sikh festival will be so much fun, today we are going to be making celebration cakes and cards to bring home and share with our families.

National Hat Day – Tuesday 15 January
We will be celebrating with a hat making competition, so get creative and come in your home-made hat for our hat day parade at 3.00pm.

Coffee Morning – 8.00am to 9.00am, Wednesday 23 January
Parents are welcome to join us for a morning of coffee and pastries whilst meeting with other parents and the management team.

Chinese New Year Party – 3.30pm to 4.00pm, Tuesday 5 February
We’ll be celebrating the year of the pig with a grand Chinese New Year party, so dress to impress or in traditional clothing and join us for yummy food and party games.

Valentines Cooking Workshop – 10.00am to 11.00am, Thursday 14 February
Join us for a morning of Valentines cooking, we’ll be making some yummy treats to warm your hearts and those of the ones you love.

St David’s Day – Friday 1 March
We’ll be celebrating the Welsh patron, St David by making daffodils to bring home to our families.

Pancake Day – Tuesday 5 March
It would be crazy not to celebrate with a yummy scummy tea of pancake delights. Choose your own topping or taste them all during our Shrove Tuesday celebrations.

World Book Day – Thursday 7 March
Dress as your favourite book character and why not bring along the book with you, we will be reading and acting out lots of adventurous stories during the day.

Mother’s Day Breakfast Buffet – 8.30am to 9.00am, Friday 29 March
Grab a morning treat from our yummy buffet and begin your Mother’s Day celebrations in style.

St Patrick’s Day – Monday 18 March
Dress in green for our magical St Patricks day celebrations, keep your eyes peeled because the magical leprechaun may make an appearance.

Holi – Wednesday 20 March
We’ll be celebrating this Hindu festival with lots of colourful fun activities. Colour dancing and splat painting are both on the agenda.

Easter egg hunt and bonnet parade – Thursday 18 March
Help your child make a bonnet and bring it to nursery, ready to show off in our annual Easter bonnet parade. There will be a prize for the best bonnet.  We will have an egg-cellent day full of Easter fun such as our Easter egg bonanza, where eggs are hidden everywhere but who will find an egg to enjoy at home.

Parents Consultation Week – Monday 15 April to Thursday 18 April.
Don’t forget to book in for a consultation with your child’s key person, to review their progress and read their report.

SUMMER TERM 2019

St George’s Day – Tuesday 23 April
Why not join us in celebrating today with a red and white dress up theme. We will have traditional games and face painting for all, these are just some of the fun things we have planned for the day.

Brother and Sister Day – Thursday 2 May
To celebrate brother and sister day, we will be painting pictures of our family and for those with brothers and sisters in the nursery, we will be playing games in the garden.

Ramadan – 9.30am to 10.30am, Monday 6 May
To mark the start of Ramadan we will be planting vegetable seeds to take home and grow, and share with our families once they have grown fruit. We would like to invite all parents to come in and join in the planting with their children.

Cultural Diversity Day – Tuesday 21 May
All children are invited to dress up in their national dress. We will be sampling different music from around the world and tasting a variety of different foods.

Chelsea Flower Show – Friday 24 May
To celebrate the famous Chelsea flower show, we will be planting flowers in the garden and getting creative in the art areas with flower activities and many more fun things to do.

National Pen-Pal day – Friday 31 May
We invite all children to write letters or draw pictures to their peers at our sister nursery in Beehive Lane.

Eid ul Fitr – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Tuesday 4 June
To celebrate Eid and the end of Ramadan we will be having a party at tea time with yummy treats and cake for everyone to enjoy. Parents are invited to join us.

The Queens Birthday – Friday 7 June
To mark the Queen’s birthday on 8 June, we will be celebrating by making royal treats in cooking club and creating birthdays cards to send to the Queen.

Messy Play Father’s Day Morning – 9.30am to 10.30am, Friday 14 June
We would like to invite all our children’s daddies to come along for a morning of hands on messy play with their children.

Royal Ascot – Wednesday 19 June
We are having a Royal Ascot day at nursery today, so dress as a jockey, or pull on your finest hat for this special occasion.

Mini Wimbledon – 2.30pm to 4.00pm, Monday 1 July
To celebrate the start of Wimbledon, we will be having a tennis competition in the garden. The competition will be concluded with sandwiches and of course strawberries and cream.

80’s Disco Day – Thursday 11 July
The children and staff are invited to dress in traditional 80’s clothing for a day of disco fun. There will be prizes for the best dancers in our dance off.

Summer Fete – 11.00am to 2.00pm, Saturday 20 July
We would like to invite you, your friends and families to join us in celebrating summer time. We will have various activities and stalls. There will be many traditional fete stalls including hook a duck, lucky dip, cakes and face painting.

Pre-school Graduation – 12.30pm to 1.30pm, Saturday 20 July
We will be concluding our summer fete with a special ceremony for our school leavers, with their very first graduation. You may want to bring tissues because this will be an emotional day for all of us.

Princesses and Pirates Day – Thursday 25 July
We will be having a princess and pirate day at nursery, so dress up as one or the other and join us for a Kids Inc adventure.

National Friendship Day – Tuesday 30 July
We will be celebrating this special day by making friendship cards and bracelets to send home with our friends. Let’s make sure everyone knows they are special.

Pre School Leavers Prom – 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Friday 2 August
Our school leavers will enjoy their first prom. Don’t forget to wear your best clothes!

Kids Inc Summer Family Outing – 11.00am to 2.00pm, Saturday 17 August
We invite all families to join us at Hainault Forest Country Park for lots of fun and games in the sun. We will also be visiting the animals at the farm and feeding the ducks. Why not bring along a picnic too.

National Beach Day – Friday 30 August
To celebrate national beach day, we will be having a special day of sand and water play, dress in your summer dresses or shorts and t-shirts and don’t forget your sun hat and sunglasses.
