What do Ofsted say about us?
Our last Ofsted inspection took place in May 2018 and the overall outcome was ‘GOOD’.
The inspection report highlights the following points:
‘The manager and her staff work very well in partnership with other professional involved in children’s care.’
‘Children build strong relationships with staff. They are eager to share some of their learning experiences and thoroughly enjoy spontaneous cuddles. Staff provide children with sensitive support when needed.’
‘Children’s emotional needs are supported very well. When they leave the nursery, the manager works with parents, staff at local schools and other nurseries to promote a smooth transition.’
‘Parents describe staff as extremely friendly and say that their children are very happy to come to nursery each day.’
‘Toddlers show good engagement in activities that they enjoy. They have fun learning how to use large play equipment, giggling as they come down a slide.’
‘Safeguarding is effective. The manager and her staff team show a good understanding of their roles and responsibilities.’
‘Information about children’s development and personal care is sought from parents at the start. This generally helps staff develop an understanding of how to meet each child’s individual needs.’
‘Children’s good health is promoted well. They enjoy a well balanced range of foods that takes account of their dietary preferences and needs.’
