AUTUMN TERM 2019

Breakfast morning – 8.00am to 8.30am, Thursday 5 September
Join us for a yummy breakfast. Come and choose something nice to start your day.

Jeans for Genes day – Friday 20 September
Everyone is invited to wear their jeans for the day. We will have a donations box in the reception area if anyone would like to make a donation to Genetic Disorders UK. The charity support individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder.

International day of sign language – Monday 23 September
We will be practicing our sign language throughout the day and looking at different ways in which we communicate.

Rosh Hashanah – Monday 30 September
Children over two will be celebrating the start of Jewish New Year by dipping apples in a little honey to eat at snack time.

Yom Kippur – Tuesday 8 October
Today we invite you to wear your canvas shoes to nursery for the Jewish holiday. We recommend no leather shoes to be worn (if you have something else), let us see your lovely pumps and footwear!

Diwali – 9:30am to 10:15am, Monday 28 October
Join us for a diva lamp making and art session with your child.

Ugly bugs ball – 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Thursday 31 October,
Dress up for our annual ugly bugs ball, we will be having a fun filled day with lots of activities, finishing with a spooooktacular tea!

Bonfire night – Tuesday 5 November
The children we will be making colourful pictures for a lovely firework display.

Remembrance Day – Monday 11 November
To honour the sacrifices and achievements that were made in all past wars we will be making poppies and will be holding a two minute silence at 11.00am with our Butterflies children.

Nursery photo day – Thursday 14 November
The nursery photographer will be attending, please remember to bring in your best outfits, and practice your brightest smiles!

Road safety week – Monday 18 November to Friday 22 November
We will be learning all about road safety with our older children, how to cross the road and learning about the different safety/signs.

Nursery rhyme week – Monday 18 November to Friday 22 November
We will be learning a new rhyme every day and holding music and movement sessions throughout the week with our younger children.

Christmas jumper day for Save the Children – Friday 13 December
We are once again supporting Save the Children’s wear your Christmas jumper day. There will be a donation box in the reception area if you would like to make a donation to this worthy cause. 

Christmas Activities and Events – Monday 2 December to Tuesday 24 December
We will be holding lots of fun activities and special events throughout December to celebrate and prepare for Christmas. A full programme of events will be available nearer the time.
