SPRING TERM 2019

Coffee morning- 9.00am to 11.00am, Monday 14 January
Come along and enjoy a coffee or tea and some biscuits. Everyone is welcome and the room will be set up for the children to enjoy too.  Staff will be on hand to provide advice, a helping hand or just to enjoy a chat with.

Burns Celebrations – Friday 25 January
A day of celebrating with our Scottish friends! A special Burns lunch will be made by our lovely cook Keron, and we have a very special visitor who will be playing the bagpipes for us.

Chinese New Year – Tuesday 5 February
Or should we say Kung Hei Fat Choi!  As well as a delicious Chinese feast with the children joining together for the big meal, the children will try dragon dancing and making lanterns too.  We will also be joining in with the tradition of exchanging red letters with each other which we will do during our New Year meal.

Valentine’s Love Lunch – 11.30am to 12.30pm, Thursday 14 February
Parents are invited to join us for lunch prepared by the lovely Keron. The children can also send each other, or a loved one, a special Valentine’s card using the nursery Valentine’s post box!

International random act of kindness day – Monday 18 February
Throughout the day the children will take part in little tasks and activities to make their friends and families happy, as well and the community of Crowthorne.

World Book Day – Thursday 7 March
What is your favourite book? More importantly who is your favourite character? Today at nursery we are celebrating all of our favourite books and enjoying a fancy dress day. Children are invited to come to nursery dressed as their favourite character and bring their favourite book for us all to enjoy together.

Red Nose Day – Friday 15 March
It is that time of year again and we will be wearing our red noses to raise money for Comic Relief. The fancy dress code for the day will be announced nearer the time.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Friday 29 March
We invite all of our lovely mummies to join us for afternoon tea with your children. As well as delicious scones with cream and jam made by Keron, the children are sure to have a few surprises.  Grannies and aunties also welcome.

Easter Bonnet Parade and Easter Egg Hunt – 4.00pm, Thursday 18 April
Make the most fabulous Easter bonnet at home with your child and bring it along to our Easter bonnet parade and Easter egg hunt.

SUMMER TERM 2019

St George’s Day – Tuesday 23 April
Today we will celebrate St George’s Day by creating British flags and dragons on a large scale in the multi-purpose room.

International Dance Day – Monday 29 April
From street dance to jazz, today we celebrate all things dance and will try out different types of dancing with our friends. Which will be your favourite?

Brother and Sister Day – Thursday 2 May
We are asking any older or younger brothers and sisters to join us for a lovely tea. If it’s a nice day it will be a picnic on the grass area. We will confirm the menu the week before but please book your space with the office.

Summer Fete- 10.00am to 1.00pm, Saturday 8 June
Everyone is welcome to join us for lots of fun and games at our fete! Bring along family and friends to join us. There are competitions and prizes to be won!

Father’s Day Breakfast – 8.00am to 9.00am, Monday 17 June
We are inviting all our daddies, uncles or grandads to join us for a delicious breakfast of sausage or bacon sandwiches to celebrate Father’s Day.

Odd sock day – Wednesday 26 June
A day to put your odd socks to use and come to nursery wearing odd socks!

Independence Day – Thursday 4 July
Children are invited to come to nursery dressed in red, white and blue to celebrate Independence Day. They will be making some yummy shortbread biscuits and decorating them with red white and blue icing, we will also be creating American flags for the occasion.

Wimbledon – Monday 8 July
Today the children will be practicing their tennis skills and having an afternoon tea of strawberries and ice cream.

Sports Day – 3.00pm, Friday 12 July
Pre-school and Ladybirds children will be taking part in our annual sports day. After the prize giving there will be a picnic tea and ice creams.

Pre-school Graduation – 3.30pm, Friday 26 July
A special ceremony for our pre-school leavers, have your tissues at the ready! We will have a leavers picnic afterwards. Invitations will be sent out nearer the time.

Friendship Day – Tuesday 30 July
A day of celebrating friendship with card making and friendship bracelets.

Pre-school Prom – 3.30pm, Friday 2 August
Our last goodbye to our pre-school leavers. Be ready to party party party!
