Crowthorne – Calendar

SPRING TERM 2020

Coffee morning- 9.30am to 11.00am, Wednesday 15 January
Come along and enjoy a tea or coffee and some biscuits. Everyone is welcome and the room will be set up for the children to have fun too. Staff will be on hand to provide advice, a helping hand or just to enjoy a chat with.

Chinese New Year – Friday 24 January
The children will be joining in with the tradition of passing red letters to each other, these will be exchanged when the children all join together to celebrate the new year with a delicious Chinese feast at lunchtime during our New Year meal. They will also try dragon dancing and making Chinese lanterns. Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Dress up day – Wednesday 5 February
All children are invited to dress up in their favourite dressing up costumes.

Valentines Lunch – 11.30am to 12.30pm, Friday 14 February
Parents are invited to join us for a lovely lunch prepared by our chef. The children are invited to send each other a friendly Valentine’s card using the nursery Valentine post box!

International random act of kindness day – Monday 17 February
Throughout the day the children will take part in little tasks and activities to make their friends, families and the local Crowthorne community happy.

World Book Day – Thursday 5 March
Which is your favourite book? Who is your favourite character? Today at nursery we are celebrating all our favourite books and enjoying a fun fancy dress day. Children can come to nursery dressed as their favourite character and bring their favourite book for us all to enjoy together.

St Patricks Day- Tuesday 17 March
To celebrate St. Patricks day, we would like to invite your little ones to wear green. We will be making shamrocks and good luck charms with clay and various collage materials.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Thursday 19 March
We invite all of our lovely mummies to join us for afternoon tea with the children. As well as delicious home-made scones with cream and jam, the children are sure to have a few surprises. Grannies and aunties are also welcome.

Spring Fete- 11.00am to 1.00pm, Saturday 28 March
Help your child to make a fabulous Easter bonnet at home with your child and bring it along to our Easter bonnet parade and Easter egg hunt.

St Georges day- Thursday 23 April
Today we will celebrate St Georges Day by making British flags and dragons on a large scale in the multipurpose room.

International Dance Day – Wednesday 29 April
From street dance to jazz, today we celebrate dance and will try out different types of dancing with our friends.
