As part of our current community project, we have scheduled visits from the local guide dogs association, police, fire brigade and dentist. This is a wonderful way for the children to learn about the essential roles that emergency and other services play in our lives and appreciate how we all fit into the community.
We have been very busy lately planting our own herbs and vegetables. We are looking forward to seeing how they grow, and then cooking with them to see how they taste!
The children have great fun cooking with our chef, Paul. One of their favourite activities is making biscuits. They all thoroughly enjoy weighing, counting and mixing all the ingredients and then eating the yummy biscuits!
The children and staff have created this wonderful display for Crowthorne Library. Sarah from Ladybirds thought of the theme, chose the story and organised all of the artwork, children’s quotes, etc.
Some of our parents recently came along to join the children for a ‘Stretch n Grow’ class. It was a fun morning and the parents showed off some great dance moves!
What do our parents say about us?
'My son's care with you for the last two years has been of the highest quality. It made it easier to leave him with confidence, knowing that he was in very caring hands.'
'My daughter has become more confident and developed to a degree that I could not have imagined possible in the last six months. The staff are friendly and helpful, and great for tips on childcare!'
'The children love the nursery and the nursery love the children. I would rather be at the nursery myself than go to work - it is much more fun!'
'The nursery staff are very attentive and are always seeking to actively encourage our child to explore.'
'The staff are enthusiastic to share our child's day and the manager is never too busy to see you and seems to know every child personally. The atmosphere is both happy and professional.'
'The nursery provides a safe and happy environment, with a good balance of learning and play. My daughter enjoys going and has received a good grounding for progression to infant school.'
