AUTUMN TERM 2018

Read a book day – Thursday 6 September
All children are invited to bring in their favourite book to read and share with their friends, and dress up as their favourite book character.

Mexican Independence Day – Friday 14 September
To celebrate Mexican Independence Day, will be making having a game of Pinata, eating Mexican food, and we would like to invite the children to wear red, white and green.

Jeans for Genes Day – Friday 21 September
Everyone is invited to wear their jeans or denim for the day. Please bring a donation with you on the day. All the money raised will go to Jeans for Genes which supports children affected by genetic disorders.

National Farmer’s day – Friday 12 October
All children will be taking part in looking at and tasting food from farms. We will be making crafts and playing games all associated with farming.

Pumpkin decorating day – Wednesday 31 October
This year we will be holding a competition to see what creation the children can do with a pumpkin. There will be a prize for the best creation in each room.  All entries must be in by Monday 29 October.

Bonfire Night – Monday 5 November
To celebrate bonfire night the children are going to be making colourful pictures using glitter and paints, and they will be making edible rockets to take home.

Diwali – Wednesday 7 November
Diwali celebrates the Hindu festival of light, so we will be making footprint craft, Rangoli colouring pages and ask the children to join us in their brightest colours.

Children in Need dress up day – Friday 16 November
All children are invited to dress up in their favourite costumes and if you would like to make a donation to Children in Need we will have a donation pot in reception.

Letter to Father Christmas – Monday 3 December
We would like to invite all children to get ready for Christmas. The children will be writing letters to Father Christmas and sending them to the North Pole.

Candy Cane hunt – Monday 10 December
All the children are invited to take part in our Candy Cane hunt, and the children can take home all they find.

Christmas Singing – 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Wednesday 12 December
We would like to invite all parents to come in and sing festive songs with the children.

Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day – Friday 14 December
We will all be enjoying a delicious festive dinner with all the trimmings.and for a small donation of £1 everyone is invited to wear their Christmas jumper.

Christmas Party – 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Monday 17 December
All children are invited to join in with our Christmas celebrations. We will be having a Christmas party with a special tea, and Father Christmas will be bringing presents.

Christmas Eve – Monday 24 December
All and staff are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers for the day to complete the festive celebrations before the holidays begin.
